Secure complete connectivity for your home

AS the world becomes increasingly connected, access to online platforms is easier than ever. At the same time, it is also bringing stiffer competition to the global level. Even at home, the internet has become an inseparable part of our lives.

Thanks to new cutting edge infrastructure underpinning our internet access – technology such as fibre optics and the up-and-coming 5G technology - Malaysia is experiencing fast growth in information and communications technology (ICT).

Published in the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission’s Internet Users Survey 2018 report, the current trend shows that the percentage of Internet users at the national level has increased from 76.9% in 2016 to 87.4% in 2018.

This can only mean that the demand for faster, more furious speeds and capacities will be on the rise as well.

Hooked on speed

In order to provide a complete home internet experience, Celcom has recently added a home fibre offering to its existing Celcom Home Wireless.

Called the Celcom Home Fibre, this new package offers unlimited high-speed fibre internet from as low as RM80 a month and comes with free Wi-Fi router and installation.

The hi-speed, Celcom Home Fibre internet package has two plans to choose from; the 30Mbps at RM80 per month and 100Mbps at RM120 per month.

Both plans provide unlimited internet connectivity, calls at RM0.10 per minute and a free modem, plus router.

Independent connectivity

As for the Celcom Home Wireless package, it leverages Celcom’s strong 4G connectivity, meaning users can stream up to 1, 000GB video and music content from as low as only RM70 per month for 25GB quota and access to over 40 Walla channels.

The other plans are RM100 for 50GB quota, with over 100 Walla channels and the 150GB for RM150, which rewards users with up to 1, 000GB in quota.

Under the user-friendly plan, all you need to do is just plug ‘n’ play to connect up to 64 devices to the internet.

Depending on your needs, you can either choose the Celcom Home Fibre or the Celcom Home Wireless plans to ensure stable, strong and fast connectivity for your home.

While fast speeds are crucial, the strength of the overall network is also a key factor in ensuring a great and consistent experience.

In this, fear not as Celcom is recognised by the industry for these core competencies.

Among the recent accolades it has garnered is the prestigious OpenSignal 2019 Award for being the number one in 4G availability, just April this year.

It was also recognised for its 6.3Mbps upload speed, with the ability to deliver smooth high-definition video streams, scoring 61.2 out of 100 points – one of the best for that category.

In terms of download speed, it comes a close second but may eventually catch up by winning first place in the near future.

Celcom also comes in a close second in low latency as well. Simply put, the latency experience is linked to delays in processes, for example in lagging videos or the time taken to load websites on a device.
