The Huawei MediaPad T5 will be available in Malaysia on Jan 28.

The 10.1in tablet comes with full high-definition (HD) display supporting 1,920 x 1,200 pixels, a 76.4% screen-to-body ratio with 16:10 aspect ratio, and dual speakers on the bottom with Huawei Histen audio technology which promises richer sound quality.

The device has a pre-installed Children's Corner feature that parents can utilise to set a time limit on usage and to select what content should be available to the child. The device also has a Posture Guidance reminder that informs a child not to look at the tablet while lying down.

Running on Android 8.0 with Kirin 659 Series chipset, the device has 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage space. Users can expand the storage space up to 256GB with a microSD card.

Other features include a five-megapixel rear camera (f/2.4) with autofocus and a two-megapixel selfie camera (f/2.4) with fixed focus. Battery capacity comes in at 5,100mAh.

Retailing at RM999, the device will be available in Champagne Gold and Black with pre-orders starting today. Every purchase comes with a free flip case worth RM119 while stocks last.
