Get the Huawei Mate 20 free with Celcom Platinum Plus Plan

Celcom is offering the newly launched Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro smartphones at a hefty discount with selected postpaid mobile plans.

The 128GB Mate 20 is free for customers who sign up for the RM188 monthly Platinum Plus plan with a 24-month contract, though they'll have to pay an RM1,700 upfront fee that will be rebated into their first bill.

The two smartphones are available with other lower priced plans, though the phones will cost more in contrast. 

The four plans are Gold Plus with 40GB quota for RM98 monthly, Gold Supreme with 50GB for RM128, Platinum with 60GB for RM148 and Platinum Plus with 100GB quota for RM188. 

All plans also come with 100GB of Super Video Walla data – which allows for streaming services using a separate data quota – as well as unlimited calls to all networks and unlimited data when using WhatsApp and WeChat apps.

Without the packages, the Huawei Mate 20 costs RM2,799 and the Mate 20 Pro costs RM3,599.

The Huawei Mate 20 costs RM2,138 plus RM300 upfront with the Gold Plus plan; RM1,988 plus RM500 upfront with the Gold Supreme; and RM1,838 plus RM600 upfront with the Platinum plan.

The Huawei Mate 20 Pro costs RM2,838 plus RM300 upfront with the Gold Plus plan; RM2,678 plus RM500 upfront with the Gold Supreme; RM2,538 plus RM600 upfront with the Platinum plan and RM2,148 plus RM1,000 upfront with the Platinum Plus plan.

Both phones come in the 128GB version, with the Mate 20 available in Black and Midnight Blue, while the Mate 20 Pro has a third colour Twilight.

In addition to the discounted phone, Celcom is also throwing in a complimentary Huawei Talkband B5 smartwatch and Logitech UE Boom 2 Bluetooth speaker, that would otherwise cost RM699 and RM725.50 respectively, while stocks last.
