Sony's handheld console, the PlayStation Vita, is still going – at least until March 2019, when the company will stop making physical game cards for the portable games machine. Will Sony retain that manufacturing capacity and, if so, what for?

Sony Interactive Entertainment “plan[s] to end all Vita GameCard production by close of fiscal year 2018” – March 31, 2019 – in Europe and America at least, according to developer community messaging seen by Kotaku.
