How far away is that as the crow flies? Google’s Maps service enables users to measure the distance between two or multiple points. To do so, users simply open Maps in your browser, right-click on the starting point of your measurement and hit "measure distance".

When you click on the endpoint of your measurement, you'll find the distances displayed on the lower half of the map, as well as on a black line between the two points.

For those who want to determine the distance between multiple points on a route, users can simply click on every single desired point and continue from there with the next point.

For a circular route, users connect all measuring points with the starting point. Then they will see a display of the total length of the route as well as the total area of the encompassed space. Distances can also be measured with the Google Maps app. — dpa
