Where's Waldo (or Wally for Americans) game on Google Maps will continue for the rest of the week.

Not managed to find Waldo during April Fool's Day? The children's puzzle books character will be hiding on Google Maps for the rest of the week.

The game launched on Google Maps for Android, iOS and desktop starts when users click on Waldo when he appears on the side of the screen.

It is also integrated with Google Assistant on smartphones, Chromebook or Home device, and can be prompted by asking “Hey Google, Where’s Waldo?”.

"I’m always on the lookout for fantastic new places to explore. My last adventure started in sun-sational Mountain View, CA where I visited the terrific team at Google, including Google Maps product managers Max Greenwald and Shreena Thakore. Wow!" said Waldo, in a post on The Keyword

He said users could win "wonderful and wacky" badges by finding him and his friends which include Woof (but all you can see his is tail), Wenda, Wizard Whitebeard, and Odlaw.

If a user manages to spot Waldo, they would be transported to a new place around the world, where they can search for Waldo again.

"Ready to join me on my travels? If you find me, take a screenshot and share it with @GoogleMaps on Twitter and Instagram with the hashtag #WaldoMaps," he said.
