Xbox One owners can now adjust their online status to prevent them from receiving notifications from other players while in the middle of a game. Microsoft has just released its latest software update for its video game console that includes a "Do not disturb" function.

The new operating system version also gives you additional inactivity shutdown options. Previously, users could set the Xbox to turn off after one or six hours without using it. Now you can choose between two, three, four and five hours.

To check which operating system version is currently installed on your device, simply press the Xbox button on the controller and go to "System/Settings/System/Console info". — dpa
