Windows users warned against only using built-in Defender antivirus

Microsoft has been touting the operating system's free, built-in anti-malware component to its users as a comprehensive, ongoing and real-time protection.

Windows 10 users are being warned not to rely solely on the operating system's built-in virus protection.

A test carried out by PC Magazin in Germany concluded that although Windows Defender achieved a "satisfactory" rating, it was found to be less effective than eleven paid solutions.
