Mysterious storyline: Find out if a signal from another world have been kept secret for 40 years in Cloud Chamber.

Both the Mass Effect franchise and studio sibling Dragon Age are known for the importance they place on engaging stories; if appetites are not quenched by most recent release, March 21's Mass Effect: Andromeda, consider these five fiction-heavy ventures: Cloud Chamber, Event [0], The Solus Project,Consortium and Opus: The Day We Left Earth.

Cloud Chamber

The Solus Project

Consortium

A small team production leaning hard on conversational choice and, unlike Mass Effect, its dedication to dialogue makes combat entirely optional (and therefore avoidable, should the player wish.) A more ambitious sequel is on the way, Consortium: The Tower, which pursues a similar multi-path progression, and is coming to PlayStation 4, XBO, Windows, Mac and Linux.

Meanwhile, the ship's holographic doctor attempts to fill the void left by absent staff and keep Emeth going. iOS, Android, Mac and Windows PC.
