Malaysia is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the region due to its rich heritage and cultural melting pot between various ethnicities.
With Samsung Malaysia’s latest Culture Explorer app users can view the country’s various landmarks in 360° from their smartphones or tablets.
The app features the Islamic Arts Museum in Kuala Lumpur and The Stadthuys in Malacca while the Petronas Twin Towers, Pinang Peranakan Mansion and Tuanku Ja’afar Gallery are expected to be available in a future update.
“As the name suggests, the app allows users to rediscover and explore the rich cultural heritage Malaysia has to offer,” says Samsung Malaysia Electronics director of corporate affairs Datuk Roh Jae Yeol.
Supported by the Tourism and Culture Ministry, the app also offers educational information about each landmark.
Culture Explorer, also available in countries such as Singapore, Vietnam, the Philippines and Thailand, features the unique cultural landmarks of each country.
It’s part of the South Korean electronics giant’s regional citizenship programme called Culture.Connect to celebrate the distinct aspects of the culture and heritage of each country, including landscapes, landmarks, food, arts and culture, and music.
The Culture Explorer app is compatible with Android smartphones and tablets and can be downloaded for free from the Google Play store.
