Always with you: The SanDisk iXpand Memory Case integrates external storage into a hard plastic casing.

Storage is always at a premium with the iPhone, especially if you use it as your primary camera for shooting photos and videos.

Sure, you can buy one of the portable drives that plug into the iPhone's Lightning port so you can offload your larger files into a Flash drive, but they are so easily misplaced.

SanDisk’s latest product aims to solve this problem – it’s called the iXpand Memory Case and it’s a protective casing with built-in memory for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s.

Available in four colours, the relatively thin hard plastic casing comes in three sizes – 32GB, 64GB and 128GB.

You can also install the iXpand Case app to automatically backup your photos, videos and other files to the Memory Case

The case allows you to attach an optional add-on battery rated at 1,900mAh so you can use the iPhone even longer.

The Memory Case is not available here yet, but we’re confident it will make it to our shores soon.
