Analogue hologram: The Force Awakens two-disc vinyl collection has specially etched patterns on one side that produce a hologram-like image of spinning ships when the disc is spinning

It looks like there's still life in an analogue medium like vinyl – Disney's two-disc vinyl LP release for The Force Awakens soundtrack has a cool bit of tech etched right onto one side of each disc which shows up as a spinning holographic image.

When you shine a light on top of the spinning vinyl disc, specially etched patterns right on the surface of the vinyl actually reflect back the light in such a way that you see a rotating Tie Fighter on one disc and a rotating Millennium Falcon on the second disc.
