Get a ride to your destination for just RM1?

Well that’s what Grab (formerly known as MyTeksi) is offering from April 7 to 13. During the promo period, customers who pay via GrabPay (which essentially requires you to register your credit or debit card with the company) can take rides up to 5km for just RM1.

The great thing is that it’s not just for one ride either – as long as customers pay using GrabPay, they can continue to take as many RM1 rides as they wish as long as it is no more than 5km.

According to Grab, you can take advantage of the offer by going through these steps:

Step 1: Download the Grab app and tap the GrabCar (RM1 Ride) icon.

Step 2: Enter your credit/debit card details.

Step 3: Choose your pickup and drop off points.

Step 4: Book your ride and away we go (no promo code required).

The promotion is only available for GrabCar services and not for Grab’s taxi hailing service.

Meanwhile, Jaygan Fu, country manager for Grab Malaysia has just announced that the GrabCar service has now been extended to Johor Bahru and the RM1 promotion is valid for GrabCar in the state as well.
