Two trains along the Kelana Jaya line have been branded with the Milk Music visuals to mark the launch of the service.

Samsung has officially launched the Milk Music service which brings curated music content to its Galaxy smartphone and tablet users.

Unlike the likes of Spotify or Deezer music streaming services, Milk Music focuses on curated content based on genres and music stations.

For a start, users are able to enjoy genres such as R&B, Folk, 70s Rock, Classic Soul, and Classic Ballads.

Those looking for more can also listen to curated music station such as Milk Top 40, K-Pop Hits, Mandopop Hits and Rock Otai.

In total, there are over 150 stations and 20 genres available.

Samsung also offers premium subscription at RM9.99 per month which offers offline listening, higher quality audio, unlimited song skips, no ads, and sleep timer.

At the event Samsung also launched its branding initiative – two LRT trains have been branded with Samsung Milk Music visuals.

“Mobile music streaming is very popular now especially among youths who are often plugged in when they are travelling between home and classes,” said Samsung Malaysia Electronics vice president for mobile, IT and digital imaging, Lee Jui Siang.

“With that in mind, we have incorporated our Samsung Milk Music service into the form of 24 jingles which will play at selected LRT stations to provide commuters with a different musical experience and more enjoyable rides.”

The free Milk Music app is exclusive for Galaxy devices and can be downloaded from the Google Play and Galaxy stores.
