CORNERING MOBILE MARKET: Intel has announced its own Internet of Things platform.

If evidence were needed that the Internet of Things is going to be one of the biggest things in tech, Intel's announcement that it's building its own IoT platform should help build the case. 

The chipmaker, better known for providing the processing power of most of the world's personal computers has unveiled the Intel IoT Platform, which it promises will "unify and simplify connectivity and security for the Internet of Things."
