After Samsung's Galaxy Gear, rumours suggest that Google will be the next company to try to make the smartwatch market take off.
Reports, whispers and rumours of an upcoming Google smartwatch have been doing the rounds for the best part of the last 12 months. In May, a Google-submitted patent filing for a smartwatch design featuring dual-touch pads was unearthed, and later in the same month, Android Authority reported that a prototype version of the device had been spotted in a number of the company's global offices.
