Staying connected

Internet connectivity is something that many of us may easily take for granted these days because it’s available almost everywhere and getting online is just so effortless. But it hasn’t always been this simple.  

In an era predating digital circuitry (which is around the 60’s and 70’s), setting up an Internet connection required you to have, in addition to a computer, and a phone with a fixed line (for example, an office phone or a public payphone) and an acoustic coupler.
