Microsoft’s Windows 8 operating system will be available to consumers from late October as the software giant looks to update its platform for a variety of devices, the company said Monday.
The announcement on Microsoft’s new operating system — its release will be three years after Windows 7 went public in Oct 2009 — came at the software giant’s annual Worldwide Partner Conference in Toronto.
