LOS ANGELES: A Romanian man accused of hacking into Nasa computers at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory near Los Angeles under the online moniker “Iceman” has been indicted on a federal charge, prosecutors said.
Robert Butyka is charged with hacking into 25 Nasa computers at JPL in December 2010, causing US$500,000 (RM1.5mil) in damage and leaving researchers unable to use them for two months, US Attorney’s spokesman Thom Mrozek said.
