HP has expanded its ultraportable notebook portfolio with new products that it said provide the ideal balance of mobility and high performance.

First up is the HP Folio13, which is the company’s first ultrabook for businesses. It measures less than 0.75in thin, weighs 1.5kg and featues an ultra slim 13.3in HD BrightView display.

Other notable are its nine hours of battery life, a wide array of ports, a 128GB solid-state drive (SSD), Intel Core processor and Intel Rapid Start Technology. The HP Folio13 also includes a backlit keyboard for mobile users who work in low-light conditions.

The HP Folio13 is expected to be available from mid-December with a starting price of RM 3,299. Next up is the HP Envy 15 notebook, which features a clean and definitive geometric design. The notebook sports an all-metal chassis with rounded edges in a classic black and silver finish, and accented by subtle red details.

The Envy15 also features the HP Radiance Backlit keyboard that illuminates when it detects a user approaching the notebook and deactivates after the user leaves.

Additionally the notebook has six built-in speakers, two subwoofers and Beats Audio technology to ensure an optimal audio experience. An aluminium analogue volume dial for Beats Audio acts as a visual design cue and works seamlessly with the Beats Audio Manager so users can easily and precisely adjust audio levels at their fingertips.

The HP Envy15 is expected to be available from mid-December at a starting price of RM4,999. Lastly are the new Pavilion dm4 and dm4 Beats Edition entertainment-focused notebooks. The Pavilion dm4 has a 1in thin profile and sports a 14inch HD LED display.

It weighs about 2kg and offers up to seven ours of battery life. With two subwoofers and Beats Audio, the Pavilion dm4 offers a superior audio experience on a notebook PC, HP claimed. Meanwhile The HP Pavilion dm4 Beats Edition reflects the signature Beats black and red design — the black exterior carries a red Beats logo and a black keyboard that is backlit in red.

Similar to the performance of the HP Pavilion dm4, this special edition includes an exclusive Beats wallpaper and Beats microfibre sleeve.

The Pavilion dm4 Beats Edition is due to hit local stores in mid-December at prices that start from RM2,899 while Pavilion dm4 is available now at a starting price of RM2,799.
