KUALA LUMPUR: Fuji Xerox Asia Pacific Pte Ltd (Malaysia) has unveiled its latest entry-level production printers, namely the Color 550 and Color 560, for quick-print shops, small commercial printers, and corporate print rooms.
These are affordable digital colour printer solutions that are scalable and can grow to meet any business needs, the company said.
“We have upgraded the feeding, finishing and workflow options (in the printers),” said Koji Tezuka, senior general manager of marketing at Fuji Xerox Asia Pacific.
The devices have four internal paper-trays that can hold up to 3,260 sheets of A4 paper in total while the finishing options include stapling and hole-punching, as well as making booklets for presentations, brochures, reports and newsletters.
They also incorporate energy-saving features, such as low-melt Emulsion Aggregation (EA) toner that melts at a lower temperature, thus reducing power consumption. This type of toner also produces an offset-printing-like finish with crisp text and good image quality.
The main difference between the Color 550 and Color 560 is the printing speed. The 550 can print at up to 50 pages per minute (ppm) while the 560 prints at up to 60ppm (colour on A4-size paper).
Both models have a maximum print resolution of 2,400 x 2,400 dots per inch.
The price ranges from RM165,000 to RM200,000, depending on the configuration.
