GEORGETOWN: Ibiden Electronics Malaysia Sdn Bhd’s printed wiring board plant at the Penang Science Park in Bukit Minyak, Bukit Mertajam, will start operations in the second quarter next year.
Parent company Ibiden Co Ltd’s executive vice-president, Mafumi Kunishima, said the facility will be focusing on manufacturing high-performance and high-density printed wiring boards to cater for increased market demand for smartphones.
