SHAH ALAM: i-City, the country’s premier technology-based property with its unique lightscaping is set for a facelift.
I-Bhd, the developer, has earmarked RM10mil to improve the grandly lit landscapes at i-City with even more lighting. The aim is to turn the property into an internationally recognised tourism nightspot.
It said the huge investment is also aimed at drawing larger crowds to show potential investors and tenants, especially those in lifestyle and F&B industries, that the township is a booming business.
To celebrate the occasion, there will be a photography and videography competition there tomorrow, from 3pm to 5pm.
Hong Kong actor Simon Yam is slated to launch the i-City: It’s Always On Photography & Videography Challenge.
An additional one million lights have been added to the township’s lightscape — just in time for the competition and the upcoming World Cup, according to I-Bhd.
The contest is also sponsored by Tourism Malaysia, Canon Marketing Malaysia and Mastercard International.
When completed in 2012 i-City will be an RM2bil 72-acre integrated commercial township, with state-of-the-art information and communications technology facilities.
