This week in video game trailers: Disney's 'Kingdom Hearts III,' 'Star Wars Battlefront II,' 'Dream League Soccer 2019,' more

New games hitting the stores soon.

An opportunity to see the breadth of Disney characters and locations coming to Kingdom Hearts III, an unexpectedly spectacular update trailer for Star Wars Battlefront II that revisits and revitalises Attack Of The Clones, and a new season for mobile hit Dream League Soccer, plus a look at the video game adaptation of children's story Storm Boy and a comprehensive introduction to Nintendo's Super Smash Bros Ultimate.

Kingdom Hearts III Together 

 

A good opportunity to see the Kingdom Hearts III cast of characters all in one place. The 2019 adventure brings together Disney's leads from Tangled, Frozen, Monsters Inc, Toy Story, Pirates Of The Caribbean and more, and even surroundings from Disney theme parks. Coming to PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One on Jan 29 (Jan 25 in Japan.)

 

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate 

Nintendo has its own ensemble piece in the pipeline and this seven-minute overview whistles through the game's ring-out objective, 74 fighters, 100 stages, power-up items, multiplayer rules, online rooms and more. From Dec7 on Nintendo Switch. 

Star Wars Battlefront II: Battle Of Geonosis 

Obi-Wan Kenobi and General Grievous jump into the team combat of 2017's Star Wars release, bringing the dust planet of Geonosis with them, and another way to visit the era of 2002's movie franchise entry Star Wars: Episode II - Attack Of The Clones. A free update for the PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One game from Nov 28. 

 

Dream League Soccer 2019 

Another season of pocket-sized soccer simulation, with a new version now available and bringing new events, team data, highlights, soundtrack, menus and UI, plus improvements to AI, animations, and cutscenes. Updated to v6 on Android and iOS over the course of this past week.

 

Storm Boy: The Game

The 1964 children's story by Australian author Colin Thiele becomes a simple interactive experience, in which a young boy befriends an orphaned baby pelican. Cue exploration, adventure, collecting shells, playing fetch, and feeding other birds. Released this week for PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Android and iOS, ahead of the book's 2019 feature film adaptation. – AFP Relaxnews
