Setting sail around the world

EMBARKING on a Peace Boat voyage is more than a cruise. Three times a year, the Pacific World cruise ship (Peace Boat) sets sail, taking passengers on a three-month adventure with more than 20 ports of call.

This is not merely a vacation, but an immersive experience designed to foster cultural exchange and global understanding.

A journey of global discovery

Having visited over 200 ports across 80 countries, Peace Boat offers a truly global perspective for all who hop aboard.

As a non-governmental organisation (NGO) with special consultative status at the United Nations, Peace Boat prioritises sustainable development, offering passengers an opportunity to learn and engage with critical global issues.

The Pacific World, a vessel designed for extended global voyages, serves as a floating community. With eleven passenger decks, it accommodates 2,419 passengers, providing a comfortable and spacious environment.

With over 1,000 events onboard, passengers can enjoy a diverse range of activities, including lectures by guest educators on topics such as sustainable development and human rights.

Language classes, particularly Japanese lessons, are also popular, as are workshops covering various arts, crafts and cultural practices.

Entertainment options include live performances, dance classes and even self-organised events where passengers showcase their talents and interests.

Meanwhile, culinary experiences onboard are diverse, with three meals provided daily—Japanese, Asian and Western cuisine.

Themed menus add a touch of festivity, while upgrade options are available for special occasions.

Beyond dining, passengers can enjoy a range of facilities, including a fully equipped sports gym, a swimming pool, a jacuzzi and an outdoor movie screen, with cafes, bars and lounges providing spaces for socialising and relaxation.

Port experiences are the highlight of any Peace Boat voyage, offering opportunities to visit World Heritage sites and engage in cultural exchanges with local communities.

Optional tours are also available, allowing passengers to tailor their experiences to their interests.

The concept of “Omotenashi”, the Japanese spirit of hospitality, is central to the Peace Boat experience.

This is reflected in the attentive service, cultural activities such as origami and yukata demonstrations, and an overall atmosphere of respect and consideration.

Accommodation options include inside, outside and balcony class cabins, as well as premium suite classes and junior suites.

Suite class passengers enjoy enhanced benefits, including access to the Oceans Club Member Lounge, complimentary internet access and invitations to the captain's dinner. boarding.

Other perks include a complimentary minibar, priority boarding, laundry and room service, reserved dining seating and flower service—all available for premium suite classes.
