Car breakdown? MySOMPO app to the rescue

MySOMPO aims to be your trusted companion on the road offering 24-hour towing operators and roadside assistance.

MySOMPO is a new mobile app from Berjaya Sompo Insurance that provides emergency roadside assistance as well as towing services to Berjaya Sompo Insurance customers in the event of accidents or breakdowns.

Berjaya Sompo’s 24-hour Rakan Auto call centre is available round the clock, so you never have to worry about being stranded or needing to resort to unfamiliar towing services.

The app provides assistance to customers every step of the way, including linking you with Berjaya Sompo’s appointed towing operators and offering roadside assistance, as well as a list of panel workshops should you need further consultation or repair work done.

The updates can help to alleviate much of the stress that you may experience when you are in an emergency and your worries over when help will arrive on the scene.

“In line with Berjaya Sompo’s mission ‘Insurance Made Easy for You’, MySOMPO aims to provide customers with hassle-free roadside assistance service when they need it,” says Berjaya Sompo chief executive officer Tan Sek Kee.

“We know the customer may not remember our road assistance helpline number during an emergency. In the event of an accident or breakdown, they may be surrounded by tow truck operators offering to tow their vehicles to workshops they are not familiar with.

“What our customers need to do now is to download the MySOMPO app on their handphones after purchasing or renewing their motor insurance policies.

“They can reach out to our roadside assistance helpdesk via the app should they be involved in a breakdown or accident. This will ensure our appointed tow truck will tow the vehicle to our franchise workshop or approved panel workshops. It is that simple.

“Also, customers can easily file their insurance claims via MySOMPO and check their claims status via the app. More features will be added in stages to keep customers informed of the latest news of Berjaya Sompo,” says Tan.

The MySOMPO app is user-friendly; you can upload documents directly, and view news, campaigns and promotions as well as browse Berjaya Sompo’s other products such as travel and motor insurance.

From now till Dec 31, 2023, Berjaya Sompo’s private car comprehensive motor insurance policyholders will be entitled to redeem one TnG ewallet credit worth RM200 when they request towing services via MySOMPO for their own vehicle damaged in a road accident.
