THE University of Reading (UK) is renowned for its high-quality teaching, research and graduate employability.
The institution is also consistently ranked in the Top 100 in the world for International Outlook by Times Higher Education.
A decade in Malaysia
The university recently commemorated its 10-year celebrations with a special plaque signing by Johor Investment, Trade and Consumer Affairs Committee chairman Lee Ting Han. The wholly-owned branch campus was first established in 2013.
The modern, state-of-the-art campus at EduCity Iskandar in Johor provides students with excellent learning facilities, all conveniently under one roof, such as IT-enabled classrooms and lecture theatres, a learning resource centre and student social areas.
Students can also enjoy exceptional recreational facilities at EduCity, which include an Olympic-size swimming pool, running track, indoor stadium, fitness centre, music studio and student hub.
Renowned schools and programmes
Five of the university’s world-leading schools and institutions are represented at the Malaysia campus.
This includes the Henley Business School, School of Law, School of the Built Environment, School of Psychology and Clinical Language Sciences, and the foundation programme’s Study and Language Institute.
Placing a greater emphasis on quality rather than quantity, the local campus also offers a selection of the university’s “signature” degree courses in professional disciplines – providing students with excellent career opportunities.
Some of the degree programmes include finance and business management, accounting and finance, management and business, law, real estate, quantity surveying and psychology.
All programmes carry relevant industry and professional recognition with the university holding an outstanding track record of graduate employability, as many students have secured job offers – even before graduating.
Study in Malaysia, the UK or both!
Students can take advantage of the flexible options available at University of Reading, with the choice to spend one or even two years studying at the award-winning Reading campus in the UK.
The main Whiteknights campus in Reading is set on 130-hectares of beautiful parkland and has won the Green Flag award a remarkable 11 times in a row, making it one of the UK’s best green spaces.
The town of Reading is also a mere 30-minute train ride from London, making it an ideal location for students to explore the UK.
A virtual tour of the UK campus is available here.
Students at the Malaysia campus can also get the best of both worlds as they’d receive the same University of Reading degree certificate as the one they’d get in the UK – albeit at a significantly more affordable price.
The University of Reading is organising an Open Day on its local campus this April 1.
Applications are now being invited for 2023 entries in the April, July and September intakes. Prospective students may be eligible for a High Achievers Scholarship based on their academic results.
