PETALING JAYA: Bryan Leong made a splash on the first day of the World Shortcourse Swimming Championships by cracking the national record in the men’s 50m butterfly in Budapest, Hungary, yesterday.

The 21-year-old Malaysia Games (Sukma) gold medallist finished third in Heat 5 of the men’s 50m butterfly heats, clocking 23.64s.
