Sivasangari takes on Aifa in Karachi Open semis


PETALING JAYA: World No. 7 squash player S. Sivasangari will take on national teammate Aifa Azman today for a place in the women’s final of the Karachi Open.

The second seeded Sivasangari overcame England’s seventh seed Lucy Turmel 13-11, 11-7, 11-9 to secure her first semi-final appearance in 2026. Aifa also rose to the occasion to upset world No. 9 Fayrouz Aboel­kheir of Egypt in the quarter-finals, winning 11-9, 13-11, 11-3 in 32 minutes.
