Eain Yow advances to Indian Open squash quarter-finals

PETALING JAYA: National squash player Ng Eain Yow booked his spot in the Indian Open quarter-finals after defeating Colombia’s Matias Knudsen in the second round on Wednesday (Nov 19).

Second seed Eain Yow won 12-10, 11-4, 11-9 in 42 minutes against world No. 58 Knudsen at the Daly College in Indore.

Eain Yow, who recently dropped three places to world No. 14, will face world No. 37 and eighth seed Yahya Elnawasany in the quarter-finals on Thursday (Nov 20).

Meanwhile, in the women’s category, world No. 150 Zoe Foo’s run ended in the second round after she lost 5-11, 4-11, 8-11 to world No. 60 and second seed Nadien Elhammamy.
