PETALING JAYA: Debutant C. Ameeshenraj turned hero for Malaysia when he delivered the winning point against Hong Kong in the Asia Team Championships in Dalian, China, yesterday.

The 20-year-old Ameeshenraj hardly showed any nerves as he rose to the occasion by beating Tang Ming Hong 8-11, 11-8, 11-6, 11-4 to help Malaysia edge Hong Kong 2-1 for the men’s title.
