Giant killers Ming Hock-Thanussaa fall in final


PETALING JAYA: There was no fairy tale ending for Wee Ming Hock-U.Thanussaa as they went down 9-11,8-11 to Ong Sai Hung-S. Sivasangari in the mixed doubles final of the SRAM In-House Doubles competition.

Ming Hock-Thanussaa, the lowest ranked pair, stunned Amir Amirul Azhar-Anrie Goh 11-9,11-5 while top seeds Sai Hung-Sivasangari took out Danial Nurhaqiem-Aira Azman 11-9,11-8 in their respective semi-finals on Saturday.

Ming Hock-Thanussaa had earlier upset second seeds Addeen Idrakie-Chan Yiwen 11-7,6-11,11-10 while Sai Hung-Sivasangari knocked out Fayyad Wajdi Hashin-Goh Zhi Xuan 10-11,11-9,11-10 in the last eight.
