BANGKOK: After beating her personal best in an international event in the preliminaries, national rifle shooter Gan Chen Jie had been buoyant.

In the end, there were only tears after she came in sixth in the women’s 10m air rifle final of the Thailand SEA Games at the Sports Authority of Thailand Shooting Range yesterday.
