Aniq, Aznil skip Asian Games as they eye Olympic qualifying points at world meet 


PETALING JAYA: Glasgow Commonwealth Games weightlifting gold medallists Aniq Kasdan and Mohd Aznil Bidin are the latest athletes to withdraw from the Asian Games from Sept 19-Oct 4 as they want to focus on preparations for the World Championships.

The duo intend to perform well at the world meet, which takes place in China from Oct 27-Nov 7, as it marks the start of the qualifying campaign for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
