PETALING JAYA: Malaysian lawn bowler Izzat Shameer Dzulkeple got off to a strong start after beating Falklands Islands’ Cecil Alexander 2-0 in the Commonwealth Games men’s singles sectional play at the Scottish Event Campus (SEC) Centre in Glasgow on Thursday (July 23).
Izzat won the first set convincingly, beating Alexander 10-3, and in the second, there was some fight from his opponent, but the 34-year-old Malaysian was able to beat him 7-4.
Izzat will next take on Malta’s Shaun Parnis at the SEC Centre on Friday (July 24).
