Second gold for mighty Thor as Malaysia win 6-red snooker team title

BANGKOK: Thor Chuan Leong clinched his second gold medal for Malaysia at the Thailand SEA Games after helping the national team capture the men’s 6-red snooker team title on Monday (Dec 15).

Chuan Leong, together with Lim Kok Leong and Moh Keen Hoo, staged a superb comeback after dropping the opening frame to outplay the Philippines 4-1 in the final at the Thunder Dome in Muang Thong Thani.

Malaysia had earlier marched into the final with two convincing victories.

They had opened their campaign with a 4-2 win over Laos in the quarter-finals before sweeping aside Singapore 4-0 in the semi-finals.

The men’s 6-red snooker team event is being contested for the first time at the SEA Games.
