PETALING JAYA: Exponent C. Shahmalarani’s chances to end her gold medal drought at the South-East Asian Karate Federation (SEAKF) championships have increased with the absence of her biggest rival Junna Tsukii.

Shahmalarani is one of the 25 members of the Malaysian team who will begin their campaign in the meet on Wednesday in Brunei.
