Special Shahdam closer to gold

PENANG muay thai exponent Mohd Shahdam Abdul Aziz is just one step away from achieving his golden dream when he marched into the final of the men’s 45-48kg event in Bintulu.

Winner of the silver medal at the previous edition in Kuala Lumpur, the 20-year-old “special fighter”, who lost his left hand in a sugar cane machine accident a few years ago, advanced to the final again after downing Selangor’s Mohd Ridzuan Makueta 13-3 in the last four.
