Milo set to keep 10,000 student spectators energised

KUALA LUMPUR: Expect 10,000 school students across nine districts in Sarawak to be hyper-excited during the Malaysia Games (Sukma) officially starting today in Kuching.

Besides getting to watch the future stars fighting for honours, they will also get to be part of various on-ground activities, thanks to the Games platinum sponsor Milo.

Known for their popular nutritious chocolate malt beverage brand, Milo have gone the extra mile to host mini-games and hands-on sporting experiences in athletics, netball, football, futsal, indoor hockey, basketball and volleyball for the students.

Its head of sports marketing, Lim Kerwin, said their support for Sukma reflected their enduring commitment to nurturing future champions and fostering a healthier, more active community.

“We are privileged to be part of this journey towards greater sporting achievements for Malaysia and to play a role in elevating the standard of sports in our nation,” said Kerwin.

Sukma chief executive officer, Datuk Hii Chang Kee, extended his deepest gratitude to Milo for their significant role in celebrating young athletes.

“Their generosity and support will greatly contribute to youth and sports development, showcasing a strong belief in the potential of our young talent,” he said.

During the Games, Malaysians can look forward to the iconic green Milo trucks stationed at venues across the nine Sarawak divisions, where free drinks will be provided to energise spectators. — Bernama
