IT poured – but it seemed apt as Hangzhou glittered in the rain with China officially kicking off the Asian Games with an opening ceremony themed after the city’s pristine waters.

The Malaysian contingent led by flag bearers, track cyclist Mohd Shah Firdaus Sahrom and squash star S. Sivasangari, were all smiles as they set out on their mission to get the targeted 27 medals.
