Ex-national pole vaulter Aliuddin Jumaat passes away

PETALING JAYA: Former national pole vaulter Aliuddin Jumaat has passed away.

The 67-year-old collapsed during training at the Likas Stadium on Tuesday (July 18) night.

He was training for the Sabah Masters Athletics Championships to be held on Oct 7 and 8.

Aliuddin held the men's national pole vault record in the 1980s and also competed in the decathlon for the nation.
