Iran’s combination of Mohsen Ahmad, Ibrahim Fathi Oregani and Navid Makvandi won the gold medal in men's duilian (dual event) in the World Wushu Championships.

KUALA LUMPUR: Iran and Ukraine showed Malaysia the way as they broke down the East Asian dominance to claim the gold medals for men’s and women’s duilian (dual event) in the World Wushu Championships at the Kuala Lumpur Badminton Stadium in Cheras on Tuesday.

Malaysian hopes Tai Cheau Xuen and Diana Bong Siong Lin put up a performance littered with mistakes and the 9.32 points they earned consigned them to eighth spot out of the 11 teams in women’s duilian.
