PETALING JAYA: Hakim Danish Ramli produced the biggest result of his young career by storming to a maiden Moto3 World Championship podium with a third-place finish at the Italian Grand Prix in Mugello yesterday.

Hakim, who qualified second and was promoted to pole position after Spaniard David Almansa withdrew with tonsillitis, battled among the frontrunners throughout a thrilling race before securing third place for Aeon Credit-MT Helmets-MSi.
