Hakim speeds to maiden MotoGP podium finish in Italy

PETALING JAYA: National rider Hakim Danish Ramli got his breakthrough podium finish in the Moto3 World Championship after finishing third at the Italian Grand Prix at the Mugello Circuit on Sunday (May 31).

Hakim, who qualified to start on the front row in second, was bumped up to pole after Spaniard David Almansa sat out the race due to tonsillitis.

An intense race saw the Aeon Credit-MT Helmets-MSi rider take his first podium finish behind Spain’s Brian Uriarte in first and Red Bull KTM teammate Alvaro Carpe in second.
