PETALING JAYA: Malaysian motorsport talent Hakim Danish Ramli is set to make another leap on the world stage as he has been announced as the replacement for Japan's Ryusei Yamanaka in the final two rounds of the Moto3 World Championship at the Portuguese Grand Prix in Portimao from Nov 7-9 and the season-ending Valencia Grand Prix from Nov 14-16.

The Aeon Credit SIC Racing Team rider will fill in for Yamanaka, who has been ruled out for the remainder of the season due to a hand injury.

This opportunity marks a significant milestone for the 17-year-old Malaysian, offering him a valuable platform to show his talent at the highest level of competition.

Hakim, who has impressed in the FIM JuniorGP Championship throughout the season with consistent performances, sees the call-up as a recognition of his potential.

"Getting this chance to race in the final two Moto3 GPs is a huge honour. Every race at this level is a learning experience and I want to make the most of it — for myself, for my team, and for Malaysia."

His return to world championship action not only symbolises Malaysia's continued presence in global motorcycle racing but also underscores the success of the SIC Racing Team's development programme, which has nurtured several promising young riders through its ranks.
