Amer drives onto podium despite only one practice in Porsche Cup


PETALING JAYA: A tough weekend didn’t stop rising national racer Amer Harris Jefry (pic) from clinching a podium finish at his debut in the Porsche Carr­era Cup Asia in Shanghai, China.

The 21-year-old, who is racing for Shanghai-based Z Speed Motorsport in the Pro category of the championship, took third place in Race 1 on Saturday with a time of 23:49.100s.
