Azroy shows he’s the one to chase in CP150 race

PETALING JAYA: Honda Estremo Yuzy Racing rider Azroy Hakeem Anuar posted the fastest time in the CP150 qualifying session in Round 5 of the Petronas AAM Malaysian Cub Prix Championship at the Sepang International Circuit yesterday.

Azroy led with a blistering time of 1:14.460 with two minutes remaining in the clock for the qualifying session.

Ahmad Afif Amran of Petronas Sprinta Yamaha – CKJ Racing was pushed to second spot with 1:14.736s while teammate Mohd Akid Aziz grabbed third spot with 1:14.748s.

“From FP1 (free practice 1), the team and the bike have been performing exceptionally well.

“The team have worked hard throughout the year, especially at Teluk Intan, which has been challenging for us.

“We managed to rise up this time. The bike was in good condition during FP1 and I was able to focus on delivering my best performance in qualifying. I hope to achieve a good result.

“Hopefully, we can turn things around starting from this round. I always give my 100%, even though things don’t always go smoothly.
