
PETALING JAYA: Teenage rider Mohd Farres Putra Fadhil lost his life after an accident in the fifth round of the PETRONAS MAM Malaysian Cub Prix Championship in Terengganu Saturday (Aug 29).
Tragedy struck in the CP150 category final race after the 18-year-old was involved in a crash with several riders at Turn 3 on the opening lap in the afternoon.
Farres received immediate medical attention and was later transferred to Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital but died despite the best efforts of the medical team.
The Motorsports Association of Malaysia (MAM) extended their deepest condolences to Farres' family, loved ones, CKJ Racing Team and the entire Malaysian motorsports community.
