Mohd Izzat Zaidi Salehan of Petronas Sprinta Yamaha-CKJ Racing
PETALING JAYA: Mohd Izzat Zaidi Salehan of Petronas Sprinta Yamaha-CKJ Racing is all boosted to take his lap record to another level of achievement in the Malaysian Cub Prix at the Sepang International Circuit this weekend.
The Selangor-born rider has displayed robust skills on the ground of Sepang when he marked the best lap record last season.
While he missed the top spot at the podium in Round 1 at Sepang by 0.023s in March to teammate Ahmad Afif Amran, Izzat has displayed remarkable skills with his speed aboard the Yamaha machine.
In the upcoming race, Izzat wants to take the winning spot.
“I have extremely skilled teammates like Afif and Aiman (Tahiruddin) who have been supportive of my achievements. We help each other throughout the race.”
For Round 3, my aim is to make the top spot at the podium. My last win was in 2014 and I have to gear up for a better result. I’m certainly keeping my fingers crossed to make it.”
Izzat joined the team this season. Last season, he took a spot at the podium twice while racing for Ipone Yamaha YY Pang Racing Team.
