Consistency helps Izzat to finally take top spot

PETALING JAYA: Consistency is the secret to Mohd Izzat Zaidi Mohd Salehan’s victory in Round 5 of the PETRONAS Malaysian Cub Prix Championship.

Competing in the CP150 category, Izzat of PETRONAS Sprinta Yamaha-CKJ Racing won the 20-lap race in 14:48.244 at the Jempol Circuit in Negri Sembilan.

The victory has placed Izzat in third spot with 76 points.

“I’m so happy to have finally taken the top spot on the podium,” said Izzat.

“The race went well and it was rather smooth for me.”

Izzat thanked teammate, Ahmad Afif Amran, for guiding him in the championship.

“As for my performance, I owe it to Afif who has been assisting me throughout.
